Leith strengthens Town Planning team

Leith’s specialist Town Planning team has welcomed a new edition, Ling Chan. Ling joins from Preston City Council with a wealth of planning experience.

Ling began her career as an enforcement officer at Preston City Council, managing alleged breaches of planning control. Her responsibilities included conducting investigations, negotiating with stakeholders, and enforcing compliance with planning policies and permissions.

In her new role at Leith, Ling will focus on planning-related tasks such as site appraisals and obtaining planning approvals for developments. This involves project management, policy reviews, site visits, and coordinating consultant reports, ensuring all planning objectives are met efficiently.

Speaking on her appointment, Ling said:
