Background & Role

Allan has over 40 years of experience in healthcare management and support services, primarily within the NHS and private sector. His roles have included Contracts Manager for large NHS hospitals and community PFI hospitals, and Regional Manager overseeing nine healthcare sites.

Currently, as a National Manager, Allan collaborates with the facilities management team to deliver comprehensive services. He manages fleet maintenance, schedules assignments, and directs in-house operatives. Allan is also the key contact for facilities-related issues, including planned and reactive maintenance and improvement works at Leith Facilities.

Professional Qualifications
  • NEBOSH Level 3 qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Management of Health and Safety, and Practical Application
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • CIEH Professional Trainer and Advanced Certificate in Food Hygiene
  • NCFE Level 2 in Understanding and Preventing MRSA, and Equality and Diversity
  • City and Guilds Level 2 in Fundamental Inspection and Testing (2392), Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing (2391-52), and Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671 2008, 2382), and Building Regulations for Electrical Installations
  • Manual Handling Keyworker Assessor and ISO9001/2000 Internal Auditor
