Background & Role

Matthew joined Leith Planning as a Graduate Town Planner in 2022 and has worked his way up in the organisation. Since starting at Leith, he has worked on a variety of planning related projects at various scales.

He has experience in managing development teams, curating robust planning policy statements to assist our applications, and speaking at planning committees on behalf of clients.

Matthew takes a lead role in the submission and management of planning applications on behalf of clients in multiple sectors.

What gives you the greatest job satisfaction?

We are a very close-knit team here at Leith and being able to work with such hard-working and motivated individuals gives me a great deal of satisfaction.

Professional Qualifications
  • BSc (Hons) Physical Geography
  • M/CD Town and Regional Planning
  • Licentiate member of the RTPI (and working towards my Chartership)
Hobbies & Interests
  • I have two very demanding Labradors that require a great deal of my attention!
  • I am also avid collector of indoor plants – 28 and counting!
